A few weeks back the Veritas.Cod4 team had a hiccup in the first qualifier for the ESL Pro Series, going down 13-10 to Lunacy/Mousetek on Backlot and crashing out. However they picked themselves back up and came back in the second qualifier, defeating much better teams than tose who we went out to in the first qualifier including Made In Drabble (13-8 ).

The ESL Pro Series is a tournament for UK CoD4 teams to compete in, with a large prize purse, it is the biggest online CoD4 tournament. 12 teams will play eachother for 12 weeks with the winners going on to face off at a LAN final.

Prizez:

1st: £5,000

2nd: £2,000

3rd: £1,000

4th: £400

Bonus per Win: £100

Total: £15,000

Teams will accumulate prize money over the tournament with each win earning them £100 meaning the eventual winner could earn well over £6,000 in total.

So over 3 qualifiers the best of Britain fought it out to gain a spot in this tournament, and these are the 12 lucky teams:

A strong line up of teams which can't be underestimated. Dignitas will run out clear favourites, but with Reason nearly pulling off a shock result at the recent PC Gamer LAN final it could be anyones game.

With a recent spurt of inactivity and inconsistant results, Veritas.CoD4 were forced into making changed in advance of i35 which happens in a months time in Coventry.

It was a tough decision to remove someone, but a decision we felt was needed. We felt that our sniper was not performing on the level he should be and that we had a better alternative already in the team. Also we felt that not all maps/sides warrented a sniper and seeing as our previous one lacked experience in any other gun, he would not be able to fullfiil the role.

 So we were forced into removing long term member Vash to make room for a more suitable alternative. It was a hard decision to make, and not a nice thing to do, but internal conflicts and performances in game ment we had no other choice but to remove him, and we all wish him the best of luck in his new team 'OpenFire'.

So with HORSEY! dropping to backup and unable to attend i35 we were forced into searching for another player again. After discussions with former TCM player RonZoR we had been warned off him by other teams and it seemed like we would never find someone, untill zoli recommended his IRL friend Liam 'nerve' Perry. At first I was very reluctant to give him a go, as we had played against some previous teams of nerve in the past and I had not been impressed. However with zoli's persistance I decided to give him a shot. After a few games with nerve I knew we had found a great replacment from vash, he has been performing at a very high level for us and has really added to our team and we have pulled off some very strong results with nerve as a part of our new line up.

 Our focus now will be on knuckling down to get prepared for i35, reworking strats and fine tuning rotations, nades and timing.
